How To Use Frost Blades Trickster Build in POE 3.21?

Apr 21, 2023

Path of Exile's Trickster Ascendancy offers a versatile playstyle, dealing generic damage and providing unique defensive options. Frost Blades is a commonly paired skill with the Trickster, resulting in a build that excels at fast clearing of monsters and is decent at taking on bosses.

The Frost Blades build, commonly paired with the Trickster Ascendancy in Path of Exile, has become increasingly powerful due to recent buffs to the skill and the unique advantages provided by the Trickster.

Melee skills may not be the best choice for beginners or league starts in Path of Exile 3.21 Crucible League as they heavily depend on having a good weapon. Acquiring or crafting such a weapon often requires significant POE Currency, leading many players to avoid a melee build unless they have a specific plan in mind.

Frost Blades has remained popular in POE 3.21, despite the decline in its power and popularity in the past. This is mainly due to recent buffs to elemental damage passives on the skill tree and the addition of the Trinity support gem, which have brought Frost Blades back to the limelight.

The recent rework of the Trickster in Path of Exile has significantly impacted its viability in builds, with the removal of damage over time passives and the introduction of buffs for generic damage. These changes have forced players to reconsider the gameplay mechanics of Trickster builds and look for alternative strategies to enhance their performance.

The rework of the Trickster Ascendancy in Path of Exile 3.21 Crucible League has replaced its damage over time passives with more versatile generic damage buffs, offering increased flexibility for players to choose from a wider range of skills. As a result, newcomers no longer need to worry about having to frequently switch equipment and skills to fit specific situations, which can be impractical due to a lack of understanding of the game and of available resources.

Additionally, the updated Trickster now features numerous defensive options and passives, making it an ideal choice for players seeking both offense and defense in their builds. These changes have made Trickster a more competitive class for players to consider.

The Trickster's rework has opened up a wider range of skill choices beyond those that deal damage over time, and provided him with many defensive options and passives that bolster both offense and defense.

Examples of such passives include Polymath, which grants Health, Energy Shield, Mana recovery, and damage based on the number of masteries allocated; and One Step Ahead, which increases the Trickster's animation speed for attacking, moving and other actions while decreasing it for nearby enemies.

Trickster's Heartstopper passive is an intriguing defensive mechanism that reduces hit damage for five seconds followed by lowering damage over time for the next five seconds. This passive is constantly active, alternating between the damage types every five seconds.

Frost Blades skill is capable of dealing high levels of damage due to various methods, including the use of Trinity as a support gem. This gem provides a damage buff to other elements whenever an enemy is hit with an elemental skill in Path of Exile.

Frost Blade users can take advantage of the Yoke of Suffering Amulet to deal both ice and shock damage in Path of Exile, allowing Trinity to enhance the damage inflicted by both elements.

Another strategy is to use the Heatshiver hood, which causes frozen enemies to take fire damage, further increasing the overall damage output of the build.

Finally, it's important to balance offense and defense in your build by investing in life, armor, evasion, and/or energy shield. You can also consider using defensive skills like Blasphemy, Arctic Armor, and Vaal Grace to enhance your survivability. By optimizing your Frost Blades build with these strategies, you can achieve high levels of damage and survivability in Path of Exile 3.21.
