In-Depth Discussion On The Concept Of Automate Nuke Skeletons In POE 3.22 - CWDT Minion Instability

Hello, Exile! Get ready for a blast with Wraeclast. Today we’re going to dive into an exciting concept in my builds, “Automate Nuke Skeletons.”

This is a showcase of Minion Instability build. Watching our minions die, explode, re-summon, and then die all over again. 

Minion Instability Keystone Passive

Let’s start by building the core concept of “Minion Instability Keystone Passive.” This passive turns your minions into time bombs. When their health is low, they will detonate in a small area to help you harvest massive amounts of POE Currency.

To make this even more intense, we need help from Infernal Legion Support. This gem will set your minions on fire, slowly burning their health until they die.

Simply put, when your minions are on fire and burn to low health, they explode and take nearby enemies with them. This is the core idea behind my building!

Cast When Damage Taken Support

Now I’ll show you how to automatically summon a wave of minions without the need for player intervention. We’re introducing “Cast when Damage Taken Support,” a support gem that automatically triggers a linked skill when you’re attacked. But there is a condition for triggering this gem support, the skill it triggers should not have a higher level than the support gem.

Now, to activate CWDT, let’s add some extra damage with Heartbound Loop Ring. When a minion dies, this ring will deal 350 damage to you. If used with Noxious Catalyst, can deal up to 420 damage.

Skeletons and zombies can both summon 5 minions. When they die due to the effects of Infernal Legion Support, you get 420 damage for each one. This gives you approximately 2,100 damage per summon. But we can only trigger CWDT at level 20 when it requires 3,300 points of damage.

Next, allow me to introduce you to Divergent version of “Cast when Damage Taken Support.” This gemstone quality will help you reduce the amount of damage you need. However, when you combine it with Dialla’s Malefaction body armor. 30% has improved the quality of this mod. The total mass becomes 50%.

Each 1 quality gem reduces the damage required by 1%. Now we have 50%, which means it will reduce the damage required to 1,650. Now your minions can be summoned from CWDT.

Maligaro’s Lens

The question now is how we survive being harmed. The answer lies in a shield called Maligaro’s Lens. This shield only costs 5 Chaos Orbs, and getting it will be very helpful in your build.

This shield has a unique mode that many people may overlook, and that is “When you die, nearby allies restore 1% of your maximum health.” It’s too bad if you use this shield yourself, but it’s a different story if your minions use it.

When your minion dies, it healed you for 1% of their maximum health. As we know, for every minion that dies we get 420 damage. This means that if your minion dies with more than 42,000 health total, you will gain 420 health equal to the health you lost.

But the rate at which minions die is a problem. Because the faster the minions die, the faster they regenerate. This will cause you more damage. If your minion dies too slowly and is far away from you, the effect of Maligaro’s Lens will not work. In that case, you die.

How To Increase The Death Speed Of Minions?

So I’m going to show you 3 options I used to increase the speed at which my minions die.

The first is Maligaro’s Lens. In addition to helping you regenerate health, this shield also has another ability, “-50% to all Elemental Resistances.” Lower resistance will make you take more damage. This will make the minions die faster.

Next is Anomalous Infernal Legion Support, which increases the damage of burning minions by 1% for every 2% quality of the gem. When combined with Dialla’s Malefaction body armor, it increases the burning effect from 40% to 65%.

Finally, there is the unique jewel, Fortress Covenant. This gem changes our medium node into one that increases the damage taken by minions by 20%. This means that if you assign more passives, this will increase the rate at which your minions die. Here I’ll show you through a table how much of these passives you should allocate.

But don’t forget, CWDT still costs mana to use this skill. This is a big problem that will cause your loop to not work. To solve this problem, we will use “Damage Taken Recouped as Mana” mechanism. This mechanic comes into play when your minions die and you take damage. It converted a percentage of the damage you take into mana.

With these strategies, your mana pool will stay strong, ensuring you can continue to unleash your abilities in the heat of battle. Good luck!
