How to Earn The First Pot of Gold in POE 3.21?

Apr 24, 2023

I have been dedicated to farming in the Crucible League over the past few days, resulting in an impressive haul of 130 divines comprising raw, chaos, and fusing currency. It wasn't easy to attain our first 50 Divines Orbs, as it required a sound grounding in currency acquisition strategies.

Nevertheless, with a solid foundation in place, we're well-prepared to undertake new builds and further strategic development in the future.

Some of the safe and profitable options include Expedition and Essence, as well as red Alters and Short Delve. The latter is actually a bit underused, but it can be lucrative. I also want to talk about the league mechanic, which I found to be quite profitable. In fact, it earned me more than I expected.

POE

Regarding passive tree investments, it's pretty straightforward, and you can focus on all the good stuff that's buried deep within. The goal is to minimize risks and play it safe, especially at the start of the league.

We're now moving on to discussing how to optimize your expedition runs. If you're good with Rog, you can opt for him instead of Fujan. Also, take the Hunt for Answers node down below to increase your chance of encountering expeditions. We currently have around 70 expeditions without using any scarabs.

Let me provide some context about the Expedition league mechanic. Many people are doing it wrong and missing out on potential currency gains. To maximize profit, focus on runic monsters in maps, as they are the only ones that can drop logbooks.

Although remnants are important, they don't provide the same level of value as logbooks, which can sell for 10 chaos to a divine each. So, prioritize runic monsters to get the best returns!

When collecting logbooks and POE Currency in Expedition, it's important to focus on hitting the runic monsters with your explosives. These monsters are easily identifiable by large, straight-up skulls at the end.

Note that logbooks can only be obtained from runic monsters, and they're much more valuable than other drops. You can sell them for anywhere from 10 chaos to a divine each.

Remnants are also valuable, but to maximize their potential, look for those with an increased logbook chance. This way, you'll be able to acquire more logbooks. Additionally, remnants can drop stacks of the Reor currency, which currently sells for over a chaos.

When opening Remnants, prioritize ones that have a chance to drop stacks of currency. You can usually get between four to ten stack decks from a single Remnant.

It is important to increase pack size and quantity of items dropped by monsters, while being cautious when selecting Remnants to use. It is recommended to prioritize Remnants that contain actual fractured items, as they provide the most value.

However, it is wise to avoid taking every Remnant that's available, as some options may have downsides that could harm your chances in the long run.

Dying frequently in expedition can be detrimental to your character's progression, so it's important to focus on expeditions that are manageable with your current build. If an expedition doesn't offer any rewards that are useful to you, it's best to skip it altogether.

When it comes to vendors, pay attention to two specific traders: Tujin and Danny. Danny sells log books, reroll currency, and offers artifact conversions at a one-to-one ratio. Tujin doesn't offer much in terms of rewards, but he does provide transfer costs to assist with artifact conversions.

POE

You may receive one, two, or three cheaper conversions when using artifacts, providing the opportunity for cheap conversions. The Black Scythe currency is the most desirable, but it's important not to overdo it. Exotic coinage is a good option, although scrap metal may also be suitable. Log books are essential for this strategy, and you can use your own burial medallions to save money. However, be cautious about buying astragalis.

When dealing with Tujin, the most significant vendor, it's helpful to know a few tips. Use your scroll wheel to place bets and be mindful of the many items you can buy. Avoid selling at prices like 66 or 73 and prioritize exotic coinage purchases.

It can be a profitable strategy, but be sure to use caution and make informed decisions.

If you enjoy dealing with vendors like Tujin, that's fine, but selling your exotic coinage is generally more profitable. To maximize your profits, you'll want to keep an eye on the current item values in the economy, such as chromatic orbs, blessed orbs, and rope of regrets.
