Hello, Exiles! I’m here to introduce you to Heatshiver Cold Tornado Shot. We update this guide from my POE 3.21 season build guide. In POE 3.21, I used Sub 6-Link Ballista setup to get a more single target DPS.

But I realized the introduction of Manaforged Arrows Support in this build might have more potential for Bow Utility. So I decided to use a 6-Link Manaforged Arrows setup. But if you want more single DPS, you can still use Ballista setup from the previous guide.

Skill Gems

Now let’s take a look at the skill gems for this build. Gems other than Sub 6-Link will not change, and you have 2 free slots for Frostblink Blink Arrow or CoD Portal Gems. Manaforged Arrows allow you to shoot Ensnaring Arrow after spending some mana with the main Tornado Shot.

Ensnaring Arrow applies a debuff similar to Sniper’s Mark to enemies it hits. The support of CoC Tornado makes a Tornado trigger automatically. With this setup, Tornado Shot can hit more than without Tornado. Because Arrow can chain Tornado for more single DPS.

Passive Tree

We don’t need a Stormrider on a Medium Cluster to generate power, nor do we need to knock out blows from Mark Clusters. This way, we can occupy the passive upper side. Here we can take life, Instant Leech, and better Mark Clusters for more defense and offense.

Recent Bow builds use Far Shot over Ricochet. But for low-budget Tornado Shot, taking Far Shot will make your velocity less clear. If you can, you can test with Far Shot and Ricochet so you can notice the difference between them.

The aforementioned Tornado and chain combo can handle more single DPS. But it won’t work without Ricochet. And Far Shot allows you to get more DPS on Arrow. But I think the extra hits lead to better DPS.

We often use Point Blank in early builds. I actually think you can use PB until you get Forbidden Flesh. PB is not important for clearance, but it has some range benefits. If you understand the mechanics, you can stand next to the boss and shoot. If you change the cast distance, DPS will also change.

Even if PB does less damage, say 60 units give 2.6M DPS, enough to clear them all. So I think you can always have a PB.

Items

Next is items. We have a lot of unique POE Items and some rare items that use essences. In previous guides, we used Essence of Contempt, but actually Flat Cold Essences are better DPS on a budget. And these Essences are even cheaper than Essence of Contempt.

Expensive unique items include Yoke of Suffering and two Tamings. These unique items are quite expensive at the start of the league. For more DPS, you can use Ryslatha’s Coil instead.

For Quicksilver Flask, we are using Rotgut. The nice thing about this Flask is that you can get Onslaught by consuming Frenzy Charge, which lasts for 12 seconds.

Outro

Heatshiver Cold Tornado Shot is good for league starters and endgames where you can invest a lot of POE Currency. If you are a novice player, you can further invest in the mid-to-late game and experience the god mode of Tornado Shot.

In this POE 3.22 league, Forbidden Sanctum is back. And Tornado Shot is definitely an excellent Forbidden Sanctum farming build. If you want to farm this Forbidden Sanctum, this must be your best choice.

Also, Trial of The Ancestors league is huge, and Heatshiver Cold Tornado Shot can help you clear the field quickly. Meanwhile, its excellent clearing speed and visual clutter are more satisfying.
