Hi everyone, I’m back with another build guide for Path of Exile. This time we are showing Cast on Crit Ice Spear Occultist.

Intro & Gameplay

There are two versions of this build, one without Mageblood and one with Mageblood. The price of the version without Mageblood is around 75 Divine Orbs, and the total price of the version with Mageblood is around 450 Divine Orbs.

The difference between these two versions of the build is of course damage. The build without Mageblood has about 22 million DPS against Pinnacle bosses like Shaper and Sirus. And for Mageblood version we have about 34 million DPS.

Another difference is that Mageblood version is more tanky than the version without Mageblood. Because we can use POE items like Melding of the Flesh and get maximum resistance. And our quality of life is also high because Mageblood fixed a lot of issues, such as attack speed, mana issues, resistance issues, and more.

So in this guide I’m going to focus on Mageblood version of this build, and all the gameplay you’ll see is Mageblood based.

Ascendancy & CDR Breakpoints

The reason we chose Occultist for Ascendancy is that we can stack Power Charge. We want to get 100% critical hit chance or as close to it as possible, and we also get some nice cold damage and Profane Bloom’s explosion.

Another thing we want to get in our Cast on Crit build is cooldown recovery rate, which we can get in two ways.

The first is using Awakened Cast On Critical Strike Support, where we get a 34% increase in cooldown regeneration at level 9. The second one is our boots. With boost mods, we can increase the cooldown recovery rate by 16-20%. We want at least 18% cooldown recovery on the boots. So in total we have to get at least 52% cooldown recovery rate.

If you’ve played with Cast on Crit builds before, you may have seen this form. Basically, what this means is how often your spells trigger based on your cooldown recovery rate.

Passive Tree

But regardless, Mageblood fixed a lot of issues in this build. It fixes our mana cost. It gives us a lot of movement speed, armor, attack speed, critical strike, and elemental resistances. This means we can actually do Melding of the Flesh so that we get maximum resistance.

For now, we’ll focus on getting maximum cold tolerance. Here, to reach level 23, I have an extra level on the weapon, and an extra level on the tattoo, +1 to all dexterity skill gems. You also get +1 level of crafting on the helmet. Since Purity of Ice is an AOE gem, you can also get it on the gloves.

We can also gain maximum cold resistance with some tattoos that provide +1 to maximum cold resistance. If you have enough POE Currency budget, you can also use these tattoos to increase Global Defenses by 3%. Global Defenses provide armor and energy shield, which is better than 10 intelligence which only provides energy shield.

The rest of Passive Tree is a pretty standard energy stacking tree. Among them, Watcher’s Eye is very important and is important for making Energy Shield hit. It’s an excellent defense mechanism, and you also get decent bonus damage mods for pretty cheap. This Zealotry mod requires 3-4 Divine Orbs.

Other useful modifiers you can get are reduced mana costs. If you’re having mana issues, look to reduce mana cost and possibly elemental damage.

You can also get a halo effect. But when purchasing your Timeless Jewel, be careful that it does not convert your Instability and Heart of Ice nodes. This way we get Inner Conviction and we get more spell damage per charge.

Gear

For the rest of your gear, you just try to get the modifiers that matter. For example, for weapons, prefixes are great, spell damage, they cannot dodge +1 level and hits.

Then Replica Dragonfang’s Flight Amulet is actually pretty good, it gives us stats and some resistances. Its mana retention efficiency is very good, and the reduced stat requirements are actually useful. Because we can choose some tattoos, we also don’t need to gain as much strength and flexibility.

The ring is very basic. This one only adds resistance to the mana-consuming craft and a bit of attack speed. Ideally, if you have the budget, you can get Kalandra’s Touch so you can stack Power Charge to the max. They’re probably more valuable than Mageblood itself in just two rings.

That’s all for this CoC Ice Spear Occultist build. To be fair, this is a powerful build that can do almost everything in the game. It’s also a very good boss killer and can complete all the different invitations without any problems. Hope this build helps you tank everything!

Difficult farming is absolutely profitable in the Sanctum League. I've had a lot of fun farming this roji and I would have run even more maps if I wouldn't have gotten the lucky drop that I've gotten. But anyway, that's grabbing a hat another thing I need to mention correctly as per usual with my strategies that I've tested. Fine, let's take a look at strategy.  

Okay, what we're first doing is to utilize strong boxes in Airbus to farm Divination Cards. The main source obviously is the strong boxes and the secondary source we're going to be the Avatars which are absolutely busted this league for just giving so many enemies. It's good for filling with the Delirium bars and getting Divination Cards. It's also good for getting rayouts so that means those can drop scarabs and fractured items. Even did I get three mini currency explosions, everything only gave chaos. From those, I think I am not ready to go but still getting a ton of scarves. With this, I think I made about five designs with scarabs. You can also round up the strategy with bridge or halving up based on the map is. If you're running Crimson Temple, having us going to be better. But if you're running the firecast, your build usually needs a bit more.

Space breach is going to be good in my case. The reasons I use caustic Arrow, run this bridge and the fight Cathedral are because I want needed the space. I didn't have enough space in Temple to dodge. But if you build something like spark or kinetic blast Crimson temple with harbing is going to feel better. And we're going to round up the strategy with Delirium. You can either add 20 or 40 percent Ethereum. If your bolt isn't that strong yet, it means you run too much of it. And what you can do is just to use fine Delirium Orbs and get some like darker half or Divide Orbs from it. Or, you can use scheduling Delirium orbs and fully sustain all the scallops that you need by using six percent Delirium Scatter ranked with Scattering Ops.

This is a really strong strategy. You can also do this on different maps. Specially, you could go Barrier Chambers with doctor. You could go carcass with for nurse or Colonnade for patients based if you want to invest less on the strategy. Or, you could just do the nurse farming or the patient farming or carcass.

You could do the Harbinger Airbus and wrong boxes. And you could just use polish. It would work out as well Golden 8 would be if you want to spend really only a little on it and want to more focus on other things, maybe just secondary focus on patients would work, too. In my case, I went full on I wanted to farm a Mage plot. I succeeded getting a Mageblood so not as intended. But again we get to that when we take a look at the results. Foreign Box Sexton and a great strong box accident giving it the strong booked enemy 500 quantity with the Gilded Amber scar up just filling them up with the small boxes, the main source of our Divination Cards.

Then we're going to utilize evers with the gilded ever Scarab and the additional app is Sexton to have huge averages in the maps. It's going to spawn so many enemies filling the Delirium bar, getting us the race as mentioned and then filling also our inventory with Divination Cards. And then as already mentioned, we can use Breach or Harbinger based on the map just using the good at Scarab as well. Then the section for it to round up the strategy, you also want to have some magic finding on your gear. In my case, I used Knight 2 Rings ventos gamble with Knight quantity. I used 15 Grits and Braids, 10 Bloody Massage and 20 Gold one. Then, I use the viscose leash, which gives me five quantity, 268 quantity and could have been up to 70.

Of course, you could go with even more. You could use the shield, the amulet and you could use a rarity Helm. So, in my experience, Rarity is not the way to go anymore. Just taking quantity and having your fun with all the loot is going to be good. You can run this through and run the solo, if you're interested in my caustic error version. If you have some favorite slots, unlocked is going to be ABS map sustain. We're going to block the leak mechanics either you're going to block everything but evers if you go with Harbinger. And if you go with Breach, you're going to block everything but everything Breach.

And then we're going to take the abyss notes. On the top here, the laws we want air all the nodes. They are so strong, so busted making everything absorbance amount of enemies. We want the episode here and three tiny notes here to get additional pack size. And then rounding it up with the bottom three to have a bad bit better chance to spawn averses. We're going to use the strong box node over here to get a conditional strong box and then over here to get strong boxes. In my case, I used Flash Bridge and the notes over here to have increased density on my bridge. You could also don't go for Breach as mentioned, instead go for having a here take this notable and  guarantee you're having up with this and you're good to go as well.

In my case I went with the eat of world influence. I think it's better for the strategy because I'm going to focus on just running the map first getting all the Auditors and then doing the leak mechanics. If you kill the boss very quickly, most items are going to give you quantity and the downside is very easy to negate it with just using purity of elements as most. I meant you do I reflected to you Zapped ground chilled ground. You're ignited just stuff like that which are easily ignored by using purity of elements which makes each of worlds.

In my opinion for quantity space strategy is better. But of course, if you want you can also using XR just have a good fire at chaos resistance and that gets us to the cost of this. I spent about 14.5 Divides in the current Divine raid. I actually sprint 3.6 K chaos. I expanded two days ago, but  where the Vines were a bit more expensive. So, I think it was over better for me with the device dropping now because the results is going to be worth more. But regardless of that I spent about 3.6 K chaos again. If you have scheduling daily orbs and 60 Delirium, you can use the daily bar Fields faster Sextant instead of an additional average or additional Harbinger which is going to make you able to sustain salt scarabs. Those DD Ops making the strategies super sustainable which brings us to the result. I actually didn't got an apothecary drop. I got a mirror drop which is arguably very better but I'm not going to include this in the profit as it were just inflated. And I don't think I can guarantee anyone. If you do this, you're also going to get a mirror drop. But I can guarantee you that if you run this long enough, eventually you're going to get a positives.

Anyway, if you want to farm items faster, then preparing some POE Currency will help you a lot.
