Tips For Running Path Of Exile Sanctum League

Dec 29, 2022

When it comes to the Sanctum League, many players will complain about its newly introduced Roguelike gameplay and Resolve mechanism. They will feel that this new league is too difficult, so that they will choose to skip this new league directly.

Personally, it would be a pity if players missed out on the Sanctum League. Through some of my own experience, I feel that compared with the previous Kalandra, the new league does not have a high bar to clear. Next, I will talk about some tips I found during the Sanctum run based on my own experience.

Sanctum League

Tip 1: Summon Skitterbots and Malevolence (or any other damage aura that fits your builds) are great replacements for Determination and Grace aura. Remember, the beyond phase of the final boss fight uses Health purely instead of Resolve and Inspiration, so don't forget to change back before entering the portal. Topaz flasks are great for her.

Tip 2: Phase Run is great for left-clicking so that Flame Dash is of course a non-brainer.

Tip 3: All builds can be inserted into Totems block balls. Multiple Totems support is also helpful.

Tip 4: If all other factors being equal, you can choose the path from which the most possible paths emanate.

Tip 5: The Merchant is by far the most important location on the map, even more so than the radiant fountain. Because you can get multiple Boons from her. Pacts are a close second, as it's almost always an extra bonus room where you get Major Boons.

Tip 6: You'd better go to the rooms with Divine rewards like Divine rooms. There are usually only 1 or 2 of these rooms throughout the Sanctum. These places are the main reason you actually do the Sanctum run. Only if you work hard , you will have the opportunity to get more and better rewards.

Tip 7: On the same note, Afflictions that prevent you from choosing the rewards you want is effectively run-ending, since the whole point of doing Sanctum is for Divine rewards.

Tip 8: Just because you get a "room complete" notification doesn't mean the room is now completely safe. Dangers such as Flying orbs and on death effects continue to arise.

Relics

Tip 9: Prioritize miniboss rooms if possible. Because they have the highest non-floor boss rewards and can trigger your on-boss-kill relic effects.

Tip 10: Afflictions that increase the monster's speed actually also increase the rotating skull laser thing. If you are near such Afflictions, your Life will become much harder to restore.

Tip 11: Never accept random affliction effects unless you are about to meet the final boss. Or, you can get a Divine Orb or a mirror out of it.

Tip 12: Relics can and will lead you to victory. If you suffer an Affliction, you will get the Inspiration and you will get the Inspiration when you start clearing the floor. If you kill bosses, including mini bosses, you will get max Resolve . If you encounter twin bosses on that floor, your Resolve will be doubled. For more experienced players, the room reveals is godsend.

Tip 13: For the "cannot gain Inspiration and cannot recover Resolve" unique run, getting max Resolve stuff is really good for you as it also heals you. So, even though you "supposed" to do it, you're actually restoring your Resolve.

Tip 14: Minions like skitterbots are great for offscreen enemies because they have a large search range. So, by watching them closely you can tell if they've found enemies.

Tip 15: Even if you're using a ranged build, it may be more beneficial to kite enemies at close range. Because this can help you minimize the Resolve loss when you get hit. Circling the enemy constantly is a very easy way to avoid damage.

Of course, if you use Divine Orbs and other POE Items to carefully make your own builds before doing Sanctum, you will definitely have unexpected gains!
